Substation A
Overview
As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we plan to construct a new 115-kilovolt substation (Substation A) in Adams County and Denver. Substation A will help improve electric transmission reliability and support future distribution services for Xcel Energy customers. The location of the substation will be selected after a siting study has been completed.
Substation A is part of a larger, multi‑year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage transmission infrastructure across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
