South Substation
Overview
As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we plan to upgrade and expand the existing South Substation at West Arizona Avenue and South Navajo Street in Denver. The Project consists of equipment additions and new grading south of the existing substation yard, replacement of the existing fence with a new substation wall, modified driveways, and associated improvements. Existing steel structures will be removed, and new structures will be installed to support upgrades.
South Substation is part of a larger, multi-year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage electric transmission infrastructure across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
