Leetsdale to Harrison Transmission Project
Overview
As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we plan to replace the existing 115-kilovolt underground electric transmission line between Leetsdale Substation near South Jersey Street and the Harrison Substation near East 13th Avenue and Jackson Street in Denver.
The approximately 3.3‑mile transmission line will be rebuilt underground and designed to 230‑kilovolt standards to support future system needs. In addition to the line replacement, upgrades will be made to associated equipment at both substations.
The Leetsdale to Harrison Transmission Project is part of a multi‑year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage transmission lines across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
