Greenwood Substation
Overview
As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we plan to expand the existing Greenwood Substation located at South Holly Street and East Weaver Avenue in Centennial. Expansion of the Greenwood Substation includes installing new 230 kilovolt series reactors and associated sound walls, and relocating, removing, replacing and adding various substation equipment.
Greenwood Substation is part of a larger, multi‑year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage electric transmission infrastructure across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
