Cherokee to Substation A Transmission Project
Overview
We are constructing a new 115 kV transmission line from the existing Cherokee Substation to a new 115 kV substation (Substation A) in Commerce City, Colorado. This line will tie in electrical transmission circuits in Adams County and help accommodate expected growth in the north Denver Metro area.
This project is part of the larger Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades to upgrade the existing electric system to support new power generation sources and meet future electricity needs.
