Cherokee to Conoco to Substation A Transmission Project
Overview
As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we plan to rebuild an existing 115-kilovolt electric transmission line that connects the Cherokee substation to the Conoco South substation in Adams County along the existing corridor to further increase reliability and future distribution services. Additionally, a new transmission line will be constructed from Conoco South substation to a new substation (Substation A). This new transmission line will follow the existing transmission line corridor using upgraded equipment to accommodate expected electrical load growth in the north Denver metro area.
New electric transmission line:
- Conoco South substation to New Substation A
Rebuilt electric transmission lines:
- Cherokee substation to Conoco South substation
The Cherokee to Conoco to Substation A Transmission Project is part of a larger, multi‑year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage transmission infrastructure across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
