Cherokee to Conoco to Substation A Transmission Project
Overview
We are rebuilding the existing 115kV transmission line that connects Cherokee substation to Conoco South substation in Adams County along the existing corridor to further increase reliability and future distribution services. Additionally, a new transmission line will be constructed from Conoco South substation to a new substation (Substation A). This new transmission line will follow the existing transmission line corridor using upgraded equipment to accommodate expected electrical load growth in the north Denver metro area.
New electric transmission line:
- Conoco South substation to New Substation A.
Rebuilt electric transmission lines:
- Cherokee substation to Conoco South substation.
This project is part of the larger Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades to upgrade the existing electric system to support new power generation sources and meet future electricity needs.
