Arapahoe Substation
Overview
We are constructing and operating an expansion at the existing Arapahoe Substation on South Platte River Drive in Denver, Colorado. Expansion at the Arapahoe Substation includes installing a new 115/230 kilovolt transformer and relocating, removing, replacing, and adding various substation equipment and poles.
This project is part of the larger Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades to upgrade the existing electric system to support new power generation sources and meet future electricity needs.

Schedule
Work is expected to begin in May 2028 with all project components in service by September 2029.
