Denver Terminal to Elati Transmission Project
Overview
As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we plan to replace the 230-kilovolt electric transmission line between the existing Denver Terminal Substation near West 14th Avenue and Zuni Street, and the Elati Substation near West 13th Avenue and Elati Street in Denver.
The approximately 1.5-mile transmission line is a critical component of the electric system serving central Denver. Most of the line—approximately 1.26 miles—will be installed underground, with approximately 0.21 miles of overhead line upgrades.
The Denver Terminal to Elati Electric Transmission Project is part of a larger, multi-year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage transmission lines across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
