Home > Greenwood to Arapahoe

Overview

As part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades, we are upgrading approximately 9.5 miles of 230 kilovolt overhead electric transmission line in Arapahoe County and Denver. Work will occur between the existing substations:

  • Greenwood Substation: South Holly Street and East Weaver Avenue in Centennial
  • Arapahoe Substation: South Platte River Drive and West Harvard Gulch in Denver

Additional upgrades are being made to associated equipment at the substation.

The Greenwood to Arapahoe Transmission Project is part of a larger multi‑year effort to rebuild and upgrade vital, higher voltage transmission infrastructure across the Denver Metro area as part of the Denver Metro Transmission Upgrades.
